This Privacy Policy explains how Shipping Discounts collects, uses, shares, and protects information when a merchant installs or uses the app with a Shopify store.
Information we process
We process only the information needed to provide and support Shipping Discounts, including:
- Shop identifiers and basic store information supplied by Shopify.
- Shipping discount rules, conditions, selected products or collections, and other settings created by the merchant.
- Shopify subscription status and identifiers needed to provide paid features.
- Technical and operational logs used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Checkout data
Shopify supplies checkout context directly to the Shipping Discounts Function. The Function runs in the Shopify environment without network access and does not send checkout addresses, customer identifiers, or cart contents to our servers.
How we use information
We use information only to:
- Create, synchronize, evaluate, and manage shipping discount rules requested by the merchant.
- Confirm subscription access and provide the selected plan.
- Maintain app performance, reliability, and security.
- Respond to support requests and investigate technical problems.
- Comply with legal obligations and Shopify platform requirements.
How information is shared
We do not sell merchant or customer data. We may share information with infrastructure and service providers only when necessary to operate the app, protect the service, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.
Data retention and deletion
We retain app data only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We process Shopify privacy webhooks and delete or anonymize app-specific data when required. Limited shared store information may be retained while the same merchant uses another service operated by us, or when retention is legally required.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, disclosure, alteration, or misuse. Data is encrypted in transit.
Merchant rights and requests
Merchants may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information. Requests may be subject to identity verification and applicable legal requirements.
